One of the experts required was an Electrical Engineer to assess arcing of a wooden power pole, which caused the large bushfire in a nearby farm. Additionally, our client required an agricultural expert to comment on the agricultural losses incurred as a result of the bushfire.
We provided an Electrical Engineer with over 30 years of industry experience and extensive experience in transmission lines and bushfire management. The expert is the Chair of numerous overhead line standards committees and has experience designing overhead line standards handbooks. The expert was instrumental in developing standards for components for use in high bushfire risk areas.
We also retained a livestock production specialist with over 30 years of industry experience. The expert is an Associate Professor in Livestock Production. The expert’s research focus is on sustainable and profitable livestock production. The expert had previous expert witness experience, including on costing agricultural losses due to bushfires.
