Alicia Mataere is a workplace relations and safety law specialist, having worked exclusively in the area since 2004. Andrew Clark is an Insurance Claims professional currently managing a diverse portfolio of claims for a fortune 500 insurance company. The primary classes of risk that Andrew specialises in include Directors & Officers’ Liability, Professional Indemnity, Employment Practices Liability and Public and Products Liability. Scott Fanker has 18 years of experience operationally managing large mental health services and has a background in clinical, academic and senior management and leadership positions in the public health system. More recently, Scott worked in central office roles managing complex and sensitive complaints and investigations.

In 2020, SafeWork Australia recorded 1,222 COVID-related workers’ compensation claims. Employers must now navigate claims for COVID transmission, workplace discrimination laws and human rights issues when seeking to keep their employees safe.
